Release Notes: 2.12.0

You can now create, test, and run Sliderule workflows with a SQL query — no need for any engineering work to call our APIs so you can start building faster than ever!

Note for customers: we’re migrating prod workflows from app.usemodernlogic.com to app.sliderule.io Your browser will be automatically redirected, but feel free to bookmark the new URL. Your API calls will continue to work as usual, so no action required here.

New Features:

  • Create Workflow Using SQL: Click “Add From SQL” on the Input block of any new workflow to add fields that match your existing database tables and columns. This ensures all your field names will match up perfectly when you run workflows using SQL queries (see next bullet)

  • Run Workflows Using SQL: From the Batch Runner, you can now create a SQL Query job. It will run each row returned by your query through the workflow you select. Read more here

  • Scheduled and Recurring Batch Runner Jobs: Want to run a set of transactions or customers through a Workflow every 15 minutes? Every third Monday? Now you can. Read more here

Upgrades:

  • Type Functions: You can use these to build customized validations. Even more to come on data validation features over the next month.

  • Math Functions: we’ve added more standard math functions including absolute value, exponents, and square roots. Check out the full list of functions here

  • New Authentication Option for Data Connectors: You can now use AWS Auth. This feature is in beta, so contact your support team if you want to try it out.
